Engineering

Bellatrix offers in-house engineering at our facility in Bend, Oregon as well as off-shore partnered engineering teams in China and Malaysia. Production is available entirely based in the USA, entirely off-shore in China, Malaysia and Taiwan, or can be performed in a hybrid manner with production occurring off-shore and final testing and QC done in the US.

Bellatrix has long-standing relationships with off-shore companies offering a quality manufacturing environment that is both stable and very efficient. By feeding many products over many years to the same set of trusted and tested manufacturing facilities, Bellatrix has removed much of the risk with any new venture using offshore resources.

Logistics

As part of the Bellatrix long history of manufacturing in countries outside of the USA, we have developed expertise in shipping, air freight and ground transport both in Asia and within the USA. Our selected shipping partners have been tested and selected over many transactions.

Finally, Bellatrix constantly evaluates all of its world partners and either prompts improvement, or when the need requires, shifts partial or complete responsibility to other assets. Bellatrix feels that an important part of quality and on-time delivery is a redundant, flexible and multifaceted system.

Process

I. Utilizing its proven in-house and off-shore engineering teams, Bellatrix builds upon your original idea and creates a proposal. We may include suggestions for improved operation, manufacturability or react to your request for input in any area of the product’s development.

II. The second stage of development normally involves building prototypes utilizing advanced 3d laser prototyping for plastic, prototype metal fabrication, printed circuit boards and software. Prototypes can be delivered in non-operational form for concept execution evaluation, or fully operational for functional assessment. After assessment, changes are integrated and the process is repeated as required.

III. Stage three occurs after you approve the prototype(s). Tooling for plastic, metal and electronics are created for production. Often tooling is produced offshore to take advantage of the lower cost.

IV. Stage four is manufacturing. A limited run of product is normally provided for you to evaluate and approve before larger production volumes are initiated. Once you approve the limited run, full production run commences.

V. Stage five is support and improvement. Bellatrix routinely provides national and international customer support of the products it manufactures. By continuing our relationship with our customers and with our customer’s clients as needed, we continuously improve not only our support, but the products we manufacture. We understand that innovation keeps products, and in turn companies, at the forefront of their fields.
